The right of approval
The right of approval is one of the core competences of the works council. It enables the works council to exert influence on decisions taken by the management about staff regulations and secondary employment conditions. The right of approval implies informing the works council with care and in full. When the works council and the employer share their considerations vice versa and are prepared to negotiate, an approval procedure can lead to results for both parties. We support works councils and employers in designing and effectively completing processes of approval.
